Elementary Program (1st – 5th grade)
Our elementary program is offered on Wednesday evenings (Sept – April) at the St. Mary’s Parish Center. Inter-generational family nights or retreats are held annually for each grade level. Register and check schedules at www.smfaith.com .
Middle School Program (6th – 8th grade)
Our middle school faith formation program is offered Sunday mornings every other Sunday (Sept – April) at the St. Mary’s Catholic Middle School. Instruction follows the diocesan curriculum using the Loyola Press’ Finding God Series textbooks.
LIFE TEEN (9th & 10th grade)
High School formation for 9th & 10th grade is known as LIFE TEEN and is held on Sunday nights (Oct. – April) following the 6:00pm Community Mass at Queen of the World Church.
A team of Core adult leaders present Life Nights (teachings) in a relational ministry setting that will challenge and educate teens about our Catholic faith.
Our teachings are faithful to the Magisterium of the church. We love the Gospels, the Sacraments, and Church teachings! Every resource is fully referenced with Scripture, the Catechism, Encyclicals, and sound doctrine from our great saints. We meet the teens where they are to help lead them closer to Christ.
St. Henrys Program– Persons With Different Abilities
Faith formation and Sacramental Preparation is offered to our children and young adults with different abilities. Gathered weekly at the St. Mary’s Annex and Sacred Heart Activity Center.
Home School Program
In our home school program, parents take direct responsibility for religious instruction of their children with the guidance of pastors and faith formation program.
Protecting God’s Children
In accordance with the Diocese of Erie, all persons having contact with children and youth must have a criminal background check, child protection background check, and complete an in-service.
This includes pastors, priests, secretary’s, teachers, administrators, parent volunteers, scout leaders, enrichment teachers, catechists, lunch supervisors, room moms, coaches, all paid parish and school personnel and all volunteers.
To find out about in-services available to you at no cost – please contact Janet VanEerden in the Faith Formation Office (814-781-1042 ext. 2). If you have additional questions about the diocesan requirements, please visit The Office for Protection of Children and Youth at http://www.eriercd.org/protectyouth.htm.
